The name Belly Dance comes probably from the French translation of Danse du Ventre. It means the dance of the stomach, belly. Some dancers do not like the term Belly Dancing and call the dance Raqs Sharki, or Middle Eastern or Egyptian Dance. Other dancers feel that the translation feels exactly right: the birth place of creation and power, the belly.

Life begins with the point of the navel of the mother, and whirls the wave of continuation.

Not one dancer dances the same. Dancing comes from the heart, an international language, one of the oldest expressions of joy, devotion and love!

Through dance we connect our body with the divine source, which is in the here and now.

The sky and its stars make music to you

The sun and the moon praise you

The Gods exalt you

 The Goddesses sing to you

In the sessions and workshops you will feel at home in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The movements embrace the muscles and have elegant hand movements. The hips move to the earth and have an expressive nature.

If you can walk, you can dance! Suitable for all ages, body shapes and sizes, gender, sexual orientation, colour!

Bring your beautiful bellies, and a scarf for around your hips. We dance on our bare feet.

If you are a single mum and want to come, please do. Bring your child and something to keep him-her busy, or even better, come to belly babies! There are special classes for children also.
